A French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Belle Époque Period Kingwood, Wedgwood, Ormolu, And Vert De Patricia Marble Cabinet


A stunning and extremely high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period Kingwood, Wedgwood, ormolu, and Vert de Patricia marble cabinet. The one door, one drawer cabinet is raised by elegant topie shaped feet with fine wrap around ormolu bands and twisted ribbon designs. Above each leg are remarkable ormolu block rosettes flanking the straight frieze. At the center is a single door with an exceptional central blue Wedgwood plaque of charming Bacchanal cherubs playing and holding staffs while carrying another cherub in a vine hammock. The plaque is framed within a lovely mottled and beaded border below stunning intricately chased swaging floral garlands with finely detailed blooming flowers and leaves in a superb satin and burnished finish and tied with a charming bow while set on quarter veneered background. Each elegantly curved side panel displays a spectacular pierced central ormolu reserve with finely detailed musical instruments, a shield, a quiver, and the eternal flame framed by berried laurel branches and tied with a charming ribbon while also set on a remarkable quarter veneered background with a Coeur de Rai border. The drawer above is decorated with magnificent exquisitely detailed swaging floral garlands which also continue along each side. Above is the original fitted Vert de Patricia marble top with a fine tied berried laurel ormolu band at the border.
